Day 01Arrival at NJP / IXB – Transfer to Gangtok

• Destination: Gangtok (5412 ft / 1650 m)
• Distance & Duration: 130 km | Approx. 4-5 hours drive
• Details:
• Arrive at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB).
• Meet our local representative and proceed to Gangtok.
• Check-in at the hotel and relax.
• Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 02Excursion to Tshangu Lake & New Baba Mandir

• Destinations:
• Tshangu Lake (12,400 ft / 3,780 m | 43 km | 2-hour drive one way)
• New Baba Mandir (13,100 ft / 3,994 m | 18 km | 1-hour further drive)
• Details:
• After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Tshangu Lake and New Baba Mandir.
• Return to Gangtok by evening.
• Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Important Notes:

• Required Documents for Tshangu Lake & New Baba Mandir:
• Two passport-size photographs.
• A photocopy of a valid photo ID (Passport, Driving License, or Voter ID). (PAN Card & Aadhaar Card are not accepted.)
• For children below 18 years: Birth certificate (in English) along with a school/college ID. (Originals must be carried.)
• If access to Tshangu Lake is restricted due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., landslides), an alternative sightseeing tour will be arranged.
• Foreign nationals, OCI & PIO cardholders require a different permit process. Please inform us in advance for necessary arrangements.

Optional Add-on:

• Nathula Pass Visit (14,137 ft / 4,310 m) – Indo-China Border (Closed on Mondays for tourists).
• Open to Indian nationals only.
• Requires advance permits and incurs an additional cost.

Day 03Gangtok Sightseeing – Transfer to Pelling

• Destination: Pelling (5500 ft / 1675 m)
• Distance & Duration: 116 km | Approx. 5-6 hours drive
• Details:
• After breakfast, check out and explore Gangtok with a half-day sightseeing tour covering:
• Flower Show
• Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom (Closed on 2nd & 4th Saturdays, Sundays, and government holidays)
• Do-Drul Chorten
• Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (Closed on 2nd & 4th Saturdays, Sundays, and government holidays)
• Banjhakri Falls
• Later, drive to Pelling and check in at the hotel.
• Overnight stay in Pelling.

Note:

• If the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom or Tibetology Institute is closed, alternative sightseeing to Bakthang Waterfalls and Ropeway Ride (ticket payable directly) will be arranged.

Optional Add-on:

• Visit Buddha Park in Ravangla (8000 ft / 2439 m) en route.

Day 04Pelling Local Sightseeing

• Destination: Pelling (5500 ft / 1675 m)
• Details:
• After breakfast, explore Pelling’s key attractions:
• Pemayangtse Monastery
• Chenrezig Statue & Skywalk
• After lunch, continue sightseeing:
• Rimbi Waterfalls
• Khecheopalri Lake (wishes believed to come true)
• Kanchenjunga Waterfalls
• Return to hotel.
• Overnight stay in Pelling.

Day 05Pelling to Darjeeling

• Destination: Darjeeling (6710 ft / 2046 m)
• Distance & Duration: 125 km | Approx. 5-6 hours drive
• Details:
• After breakfast, check out and transfer to Darjeeling.
• On arrival, check in at the hotel.
• Rest of the evening at leisure.
• Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 06Darjeeling Sightseeing

• Destination: Darjeeling (6710 ft / 2046 m)
• Details:
• Early Morning (4:00 AM) Visit:
• Tiger Hill (8,482 ft / 2,586 m) – Witness the sunrise over Kanchenjunga (third-highest peak in the world).
• Return to the hotel for breakfast.
• Post-Breakfast Half-Day Sightseeing:
• Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda
• Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursdays & Govt. holidays)
• Tenzing & Gombu Rock
• Panoramic view of a Tea Estate
• Return to the hotel.
• Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Important Notes:

• Tiger Hill Visit: Subject to permit availability. Only 600 vehicles are allowed per morning. If permits are unavailable, the visit will be rescheduled post-breakfast.

Optional Add-on:

• Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) "Joy Train Ride" available at an extra cost.

Day 07Darjeeling to NJP / IXB – Departure

• Distance & Duration: 100 km | Approx. 3-4 hours drive
• Details:
• After breakfast, check out and transfer to NJP Railway Station or IXB Airport for onward travel.

Optional Add-on:

• Detour via Pashupati Nagar (Indo-Nepal Border) & Mirik Lake (4,905 ft / 1,495 m).
• Pashupati Nagar Shopping:
• Our vehicle will stop at the Indian side of the border.
• Guests can either walk (2 km) or hire a local taxi (INR 400-500 one way) to reach the Nepalese market.
• Mirik Lake Activities:
• Enjoy horse riding and boating (on a direct payment basis).
