Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 01Arrival in Amritsar – Transfer to Dalhousie (By car 200 km, Approx. 5 hrs)

Upon arrival at Amritsar Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and begin your scenic drive to Dalhousie, a charming hill station nestled across five hills near the Dhauladhar mountain range. Upon reaching, check into your hotel and relax after the journey. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 02Dalhousie – Khajjiar- Dalhousie (By car Aprox 1 hrs -21 Kms one way)

After breakfast, embark on an same day excursion to Khajjiar, often referred to as “Mini Switzerland of India” due to its breath-taking landscapes. Surrounded by lush Deodar forests and meadows, Khajjiar offers several adventure activities such as horse riding, zorbing, and paragliding (on direct payment).

Later, visit Khajjiar Sanctuary, known for its rich flora and fauna, picturesque grasslands, and an easy trekking trail that leads to stunning views of the Pir Panjal ranges.

In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk along the Ravi River and experience a perfect way to unwind amidst nature.

Day 03Dalhousie – Dharamshala (By car 125 km, Approx. 4 hrs)

After breakfast, check out and proceed to Dharamshala, the spiritual home of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. This charming hill town is surrounded by dense cedar forests and offers stunning Himalayan views.
En route, visit:

  • Kangra Fort – The largest fort in the Himalayas, offering panoramic views of the Kangra Valley.
  • Chinmaya Tapovan Ashram – A peaceful retreat at the base of the Dhauladhar peaks, featuring a serene meditation room and breath-taking surroundings.

Upon arrival in Dharamshala, check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure—explore local cafes, stroll through markets, or simply relax in the lap of the Himalayas.

Day 04Dharamshala – McLeod Ganj – Dharamsala (by car 25 Mnts- 10 Kms)

After breakfast, embark on a full-day tour of Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj:

  • Dharamshala Cricket Stadium – Capture stunning photos at one of the most picturesque cricket stadiums in the world.
  • Dharamshala Skyway Ropeway – Enjoy an aerial cable car ride offering mesmerizing views of the town.
  • McLeod Ganj – A quaint, culturally rich village heavily influenced by Tibetan traditions. Stroll through its vibrant streets and shop at the Tibetan Bazaar for souvenirs.
  • Dalai Lama Monastery (Namgyal Monastery) – Admire its intricate prayer halls and colorful exteriors. (Visit subject to operational status.)
  • St. John’s Church in the Wilderness – A Victorian-era church, surrounded by dense pine and deodar trees.
  • Bhagsu Nag Temple & Waterfall – A revered Shiva temple, believed to be an ancient spiritual site, alongside a scenic waterfall perfect for a short trek.

After an enriching day, return to the hotel and relax.

Day 05Dharamshala – Amritsar (By car 200 km, Approx. 5 hrs)

After breakfast, check out and drive to Amritsar, the cultural and spiritual hub of Punjab. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Later start visit of this historical/spiritual town

  • Jallianwala Bagh – A poignant historical site that commemorates the 1919 massacre, an important event in India’s freedom struggle.
  • Wagah Border Ceremony – Experience the electrifying flag-lowering ceremony at the India-Pakistan border, a patriotic and lively display of synchronized marching and national pride.

Day 06Amritsar Sightseeing – Departure

Early morning, visit the Golden Temple, the spiritual and architectural marvel of Sikhism. Take in the tranquil ambiance and admire the golden structure reflecting beautifully on the sacred Amrit Sarovar (lake).

Return to the hotel for breakfast, then proceed to Amritsar Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey, carrying wonderful memories of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab.
